DEVICES

The hub-and-spoke architecture of our system is a thin client design that links to a "master controller" gateway device for connecting through the Internet, either through Wifi or cellular service, to your custom-built mobile app.  The app is free with the purchase of any device.  The gateway handles the relatively compute-intensive tasks of network security and pre-processing of grow telemetry as well as all the protocols associated with communicating with the app. The gateway also handles the configuration and management of the individual devices in your local network, based both on your instructions and responses to local data.  Individual devices, such as ambient air, infrared leaf temperature, and CO2 ppm sensors, electrical receptacles, and nutrient dosers are able to exchange information and exercise control peer-to-peer within your local network.  In a cellular connectivity configuration, all data is fed to the app server through the Master Controller by LAN cable.  In a WiFi configuration, all data is fed to the app server through your local Internet network by 2.4 GHz.

SX MASTER CONTROLLER

This SX Master Controller is the gateway "hub" for connecting multiple SonexElectronx devices depicted on this page (the "spokes"), through WiFi or cellular service, to your free, custom-built mobile app.  Devices are all connected to the SX Master Controller by LAN cable.  The particular configuration depicted above can support six devices.  It is powered with 12 volt power (supplied).

SX GARDEN MOUNT SENSORS MODULE

This SX Garden Mount Sensors Module (GMSM) is designed to be affixed by GoPro* mount directly over your grow canopy, under your lights, to obtain accurate, real-time readings on ambient air temperature (two zones), humidity (2 zones), and infrared leaf temperature (one zone).  An optional CO2 sensor can be incorporated into the device.

SX WALL MOUNT SENSORS MODULE

This SX Wall Mount Sensors Module (WMSM) is designed to be affixed to a wall in or outside your grow room.  It obtains accurate, real-time readings on ambient air temperature, humidity, and CO2, and feeds them to your free, custom-built mobile app.  The WMSM depicted above was designed for one zone, but up to two zones for each sensor can be incorporated into the same device.  The LCD screen displays all sensor data.

SX SMARTDOSER

This SX SmartDoser has ten peristaltic, laboratory-style pumps (eight in the front and two on the sides).  It delivers precision nutrient dosing, to the milliliter, and according to your customized schedule.  Each pump can be easily programmed through your free, custom-built mobile app to deliver nutrients of your choosing.  We already pre-programmed some of the most popular nutrient lines, including Athena (Blended Line) and General Hydroponics (Flora Series), and are continually adding others.

SX PH AUTODOSER

This SX pH AutoDoser delivers pH Up or pH Down (in liquid form) using two peristaltic, laboratory-style pumps.  As a stand-alone device, dosing is delivered manually by toggle switches.  When coupled with our Irrigation Controller, dosing can be delivered manually or automatically based on the parameters you select in your free, custom-built mobile app.  For example, you can configure the SX pH AutoDoser to maintain a 6.0 pH at all times by continuously pH testing the nutrient solution and automatically adding pH Up or pH Down at selected intervals.

SX IRRIGATION CONTROLLER

This SX Irrigation Controller is a multi-function device that controls one irrigation pump, one reservoir filling pump, and one reservoir mixing pump.  It additionally monitors key nutrient qualities, including temperature, TDS (total dissolved solids), and pH.  It even has flooding protection, which, if you select, can instantly shut off the reservoir filling pump if a spill-over is detected.  Two float sensors can be connected--one for the top of your reservoir and one for the bottom--to automate the filling process.  All sensor data and pump parameters can be monitored and configured easily through your free, custom-built mobile app.

SX SMART PLUGS HUB

This SX Smart Plugs Hub has four, 120-volt electrical receptacles that can be programmed to independently turn on and off based on a set schedule and/or whichever data parameters you select in your free, custom-built mobile app.  For example, you can command receptacle 1 to turn on when ambient air temperature reaches a high threshold and turn off when it reaches a low threshold.  The configuration possibilities are endless.  This can be used as a stand-alone unit but is more versatile when connected to the SX Master Controller.  Each receptacle is assigned to an OLED screen that displays the name of the device you plugged in.  Naming is also done through the app.
